Post-Construction Inspection Protocol (PCIP)

Air2 was the first in the industry to establish this system of quality assurance for our electric utility customers. Our helicopter line inspection teams provide a valuable resource for ensuring quality in transmission line construction projects. Experienced linemen thoroughly inspect construction components for completeness, report on right-of-way conditions and assess overall workmanship. This inspection is performed in accordance with the customer’s specifications and construction requirements to include the following components:

  • Poles and towers
  • Cross-arms and braces
  • Anchors and guys
  • Insulators
  • Conductors and shield wire
  • Hardware
  • Right-of-way (i.e. debris, property damage, materials left behind)
  • Climbing inspections
